The overall main idea of this article is that most Americans support illegal immigrants the right to a formal legalization process to become full American citizens. In a poll that was taken in 2006 over 78% of Americans supported legalization, if immigrants were given backround checks, paid fines, and had jobs. This discussion has been of hot topic, and as said by one political analyist, "Is more like a marathon, than a sprint."
